Skipping Audit export when upgrading #3987

kururin ·

Hello
Yesterday we successfully upgraded to QB 8.0.17 from QB 7 but it took many hours because we have more than 4500 Audit.xml files and processing each one takes several seconds:

2018-09-09 17:06:49,571 [Thread-67] INFO com.pmease.quickbuild.entitymanager.impl.DefaultDataManager - Writing resulting XML to file 'Audits.xml.4551...
2018-09-09 17:06:54,644 [Thread-67] INFO com.pmease.quickbuild.entitymanager.impl.DefaultDataManager - Loading table rows (9102001->9104000) from database...

For the next time, I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade without taking Audits into account.
If we select "Exclude Audits" option in the "Administration/Database backup", will that have an impact on the upgrade operation?

Thank you :)
Mathieu

That option will not impact the upgrade process. You may consider preserve less audit entries in system setting, and then do the upgrade the next day (audit entries will be purged every night).

Ok, thank you.
When you say that audit entries are purged every night, it depends on the "System Maintenance Schedule" parameter set in the "Administration/System settings" panel, right?

Oh yes that is correct.
