Unfortunately, the new counter doesn't count the child configurations. How can I get a gadget with a count of builds for all child configurations? For instance, I have a configuration for product A which has child configurations for each branch that is built. I want to know how many Product A builds there are across all branches.
Before you add the gadget, you need define an aggregation just like other aggregates in configuration settings -> Aggregations:
Then, you can add the gadget like below:
After running some builds, the data can be displayed in your gadget. NOTE, it will not calculate the total builds in child configurations automatically.
I don't see Build Stats in my drop down. Is that supported in version 8 or do I need to upgrade to 9?
The build stats aggregation is added in QB9, but you may copy the new buildstats plugin to version 8. I have made some small tests and it just works.
