I would like to inquire about the progress of QB upgrade.

Is there a way to use only a new version of QuickBuild while maintaining database and storage?

Do I have to run upgrade.sh script unconditionally to upgrade the script?

Yes, upgrade.sh is a must to upgrade QB to sure consistence of program and data.
